The challenge

Make the gym’s kiosk, member app, website and system admin work as one system, with a gate that opens for active members only.

What we built

  1. Kiosk: a tablet at the counter to check in with a phone number, sign up as a new member, or pay for a walk-in visit.

  2. Native mobile app: built for iOS and Android, for members to sign up, buy and renew memberships, pay online, enrol their face and book personal training.

  3. Website: membership plans, programmes, timetable, trainers and FAQ, live at xfitness.my.

  4. System admin: members, payments, point of sale, invoices, payroll, personal training and reports, also as a Windows desktop app.

  5. Access gate: set up on two MAG face readers, one for entry and one for exit. Only an active membership opens it.

  6. One entry, then one exit, per member, so staff see a live count of how many are inside and members see how busy it is.

  7. A bridge on the reception PC keeps the readers in step with the system, with an email alert if it stops.

Result

The public website is live at xfitness.my.
